Design Guidelines
Design guidelines collate all of the work put into how a corporation wants to evoke brand, allocate space, and experience the built environment. Guidelines typically include program ratios, so that the space is allocated similarly in different locations throughout a portfolio. The look and feel are somewhat standardized so that standard items, such as chairs, desks, lighting, or appliances can be repurchased without new specifications, but leaves room for creativity and nuance for each location. Guidelines enable clients to scale their real estate portfolio without reinventing the wheel at each location.
